Jack's Bar-B-Que on Lower Broad is still getting 15 to 20 e-mails and calls every day: "Are you open? Are you flooded?" The answer is yes, they are open and no, the restaurant never flooded.
"It's very strange," said Ronnie Brown, Jack's manager. "It's going to take quite a few months to get things halfway back to normal."
Gray Line Tours' booth was flooded, but driver Sandy Dunkley said it reopened, and business "is coming back. It's going to take time. But this city is amazing."
Walk around downtown and you get the same story, second, third and fourth verse.
